I saw a W8 the other day while eating outside at a local deli. It was pulling away at the stop sign and I could tell by the exhaust note it was no normal Passat.

I had a fellow parent-colleague at my son’s school who’d bought one new years ago.... He was such a proud owner right up until the engine’s oil pump self-immolated and left his gorgeous W8 in a pool of aluminum chunks-- really rare chunks that had to be sourced from Germany, after great delay.

How long did it take for Tracy to go from his first rusty “Holy Grail” Jeep to a full-on car hoarder junkyard spread over his landlord’s property? Just trying to gauge what sort of timeline we’re looking at here. I want to see if I can make it into a sort of Love Boat or Hi Bob-style drinking game.

He’s a Chrysler nerd, to them every single option and combination of options is special and originality is prized above all else no matter how mundane.
The number of times he’s listed something as a holy grail befuddles me.
I feel like the holy grail acquisition was near the end for him so not sure how that bodes for our Mercedes. She’s also going through phases of hoarding smarts and motorcycles and seems to have developed some strategies for managing this.
I’m terrible at managing a car horde though - a year ago I had 13 motorcycles and 4 vehicles on my property, my solution was to sell all of but 4 (2 cars, 2 bikes) and am afraid to buy another.
